Prof. Dr. Alexandre Mottrie is a globally recognized urologist with over 30 years of experience and more than 5,000 robotic procedures performed. A true pioneer in robotic surgery, he is renowned for developing and refining minimally invasive techniques that have improved outcomes for thousands of patients with urological conditions.
He currently serves as Head of the Urology Department at the OLV Hospital in Aalst, Belgium, where he introduced robotic surgery as early as 2001. Prof. Mottrie is also the founder and CEO of the ORSI Academy, one of the world’s leading training centers for robotic and minimally invasive surgery, where he continues to teach surgeons from across the globe.
His clinical and academic work focuses on urological oncology, particularly in prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers.
