Prof. Dr. Steven Hovius is a globally recognized expert in hand and reconstructive surgery, with extensive experience in treating complex conditions of the hand, wrist, and peripheral nerves.
Trained in general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and hand and wrist surgery, Prof. Hovius has dedicated his career to restoring function and improving quality of life for patients facing both congenital and acquired conditions. He previously served as Professor and Chief of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Erasmus University Medical Centre (Rotterdam) and is currently affiliated with Radboud University Medical Centre.
His clinical expertise focuses on congenital hand anomalies, post-traumatic injuries of the hand and wrist, and Dupuytren’s disease.
